Hester Street Fair: Girl Power!
On Saturday, September 19, the Lower East Side staple Hester Street Fair celebrated the fifth annual Girl Power event. Hester Street Fair recently reopened, having been closed due to COVID-19. Vendors, journaling teachers, performers, and chefs gathered to celebrate women.
"This Girl Power event’s going to be the first in-person event I’ve had since February," Emily Chertow, who taught journaling classes at the fair, told me in an online interview beforehand. "It’s extra special."
